Qualifying Your Twist-Tack Application

Twist-Tack Selection is based upon the part that is going to be fastened (attachment) and the material that it is going to be fastened to (base material).

Attachment: Typical attachments that do not require predrilled holes are sheet plastic, thin aluminum, impact resistant fiberglass, Velcro^®, neoprene tubing caps, etc.

Base Material: Twist-Tacks will fasten to cast aluminum extrusions or thin steel tubing. Thicker ferrous materials may require a predrilled hole or another Amtak fastener.

Twist-Tack Material and Plating: Standard Twist-Tacks are manufactured from carbon steel and are either bright zinc plated or zinc plated with a dyed black finish. Both will pass a minimum of 120 hour salt spray test in accordance with ASTM B117.

Special Fasteners: Twist-Tacks may be manufactured from different materials in a wide variety of sizes to meet particular assembly requirements. Call us for details.
